You’re Fired is Hired!

Some of you more eagle-eyed Hope Eden followers may have noticed we’ve recently added a new horse to the stables: You’re Fired.

We’re excited to announce that this winning gelding is now part of the Hope Eden Racing string. It’s a little bit of an unusual twist of fate for You’re Fired to join us, too: our man at the top, Malcolm, used to be part of the You’re Fired syndicate at another racing club, so adding this seven year old was a personal decision, as well as a racing one!

But it’s easy to see why it was a good racing decision: You’re Fired has a track record of victory on the racecourse. Over a career spanning five years, You’re Fired’s record includes six wins and seven places out of 28 races on the flat. The seven year old gelding has been under training with Karl Burke since 2014, meaning this horse’s training arrangements will remain the same (all of the Hope Eden Racing horses are trained at Spigot Lodge).

Most interestingly, You’re Fired has racked up over £112,000 in total career earnings, of which £79,000 comes from winnings. Take a look at this race from last year to see how this seasoned gelding wins races.

You’re Fired’s Pedigree

Sired by Firebreak and the progeny of My Sweet Georgia (1st dam), herself with 3 wins at 3 and placed 7 times. My Sweet Georgia was the dam of two winners and You’re Fired’s second dam – Harda Arda – was herself a winner and the dam of four winners.

You’re Fired hails from a line of successful racehorses, including winners in Group races.

You’re Fired is available for syndication – just £75 per month.
