Hope Eden’s very own Lady Kyria impressed all with a great victory at Newcastle on March 28th. It’s no surprise, though, given that she is being trained by the bang in-form Phil Kirby! Lady Kyria went on to be Kirby’s 7th winning racehorse in an 11-day span – not due to luck, but through pure hard work and determination. Although Lady Kyria has been a proven winner in France, this was her first victory over in the UK which left all owners feeling over the moon. Her terrific attitude coming to the close of the race gave all owners and spectators a great rush, speeding to a driving finish overtaking two-time previous winner, Grania O’Malley.
The 5-year-old mare comes from an impressive bloodline – with her Sire being Holy Roman Emperor and her Dam Segesta, Lady Kyria was a sure-fire winner waiting to happen in the UK. She goes from strength to strength, with this win being her fifth attempt in the UK over hurdles. Meanwhile her flat rating of 68 looks equally favourable, and she will definitely give the Hope Eden Racing team and its members an awful lot of fun throughout the rest of 2019.
The Hope Eden Racing team are proud to work with Lady Kyria and have such a good relationship with Phil Kirby. Because of both the amazing horse and diligent trainer, we can provide great opportunities for our syndicate owners to watch and enjoy the races in a prestigious fashion. With Lady Kyria entered to run at Cheltenham in a listed race on April 18th and also a further entry for Carlisle on April 20th, consider becoming a part-owner of this amazing racehorse and experience the thrill that everyone in the team got to on March 28th.
